41The Ethiopian Society of Winnipeg provides a central coordinating body for individuals interested in volunteering within the Ethiopian community. Would you like to offer your skills and interests, or learn some new ones, while providingA�meaningful service to the Ethiopian community? Contact us if you are interested in participating:

  • As an assistant who provides one-on-one tutoring or service to a student and older adult in an after school program
  • As a mentor who helps newcomers and Canadian born Ethiopians set goals and choose career
  • As a translator or interpreter to various Ethiopian languages
  • As an English conversation class facilitator for newcomer Ethiopians who have low literacy in English language
  • As a settlement facilitator that helps Newcomer Ethiopians to integrate into the mainstream culture of Canadian society
  • As a special event planning committee member
  • As a helper at occasional special events

We have qualified volunteers that will provide you any sponsorship or settlement issues.
